Thursday was June's school holiday program. It was Bennett's too, I guess, but I didn't realize that him being up on stage was really an option until we were walking up. We decided to just keep him with us since he wouldn't be able to do anything on stage anyway.
As soon as the curtains opened, we watched June search the crowd for us, then saw her sheepish smile when she finally saw us.
The littlest ones sang first, then June's class was up. She sang "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Oh Candy Cane, Oh Candy Cane." (Which I overheard June practicing the other day, and she only remembered one other line, so I was treated to hearing, "You're minty and delightful!" over and over.)
Afterward I tried to get a picture of June and Bennett together in their red sweaters.
That face! That's his mischievous face. He knew he was going to attempt a dive-bomb off of the bench right after this photo was taken.
And then, of course, it was time for desserts.
Hard to believe that next year might be June's last in daycare, and that Bennett will be up on stage!
